I promised a post on things that I’m doing that I’ve heard help manage chemo side effects.

  1. Celery Juice. Ya, I wasn’t exactly excited when I heard the benefits of drinking this every morning, but I’ve come to really enjoy it. I will continue to do it after chemo because the benefits are really great. Google more if interested.

  2. Calli tea - I drink a pot of this everyday. It’s a cleansing tea and helps keep me hydrated.

  3. Stay hydrated. It makes such a difference. I drink 3-4 litres of water, tea, juice etc a day. Any day I’m behind on my hydration I totally feel it. Chemo is very dehydrating to your body.

  4. Acupuncture - I heard this helps with neuropathy. I started weekly acupuncture as a proactive way to hopefully not get neuropathy but the benefits have been beyond that. I’m sleeping better, less tense, less headaches etc.

Those are the immediate ones, I’ll post more if I think of others. Friends who have gone through this in the past have had trouble walking, neuropathy, mouth sores, loss of taste, loss of appetite and nausea at the same point in their journey as I am now. While every journey is different, I think the items listed above have truly helped me not have any of those symptoms to date.

That’s all for now. Xo
